Principal's Message

August 2026 

 

Dear Parents/Guardians: 

Welcome to the 2026-27 school year. As we start the new school year together on Monday, August 17, 2026, the staff at Addams Elementary School looks forward to working with you and your child. Our Addams Elementary staff strongly believes that the education of children is a partnership between the home and the school and that parent involvement is crucial to the success of our students. Please mark Thursday, August 13, 2026 for Addams  Back to School Night from 4:00-6:00 pm where you will meet our staff and receive important information about the coming school year. 

The Addams Elementary office will extend their hours on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 for registration.  The office will be open through 7:00 PM. 

Class lists will be available on ATLAS Parent Portal and posted Thursday, August 13, 2026 outside the main office. These lists will indicate your child’s teacher and room number. No room changes will be made prior to Tuesday, September 8, 2026.  Please note that due to the possible enrollment changes we may need to create or collapse classrooms.  There is a possibility that your child may be moved to a different class. We will contact you if this occurs.  

Our district will be implementing an early release schedule on Tuesdays of a five-day school week for teacher professional development.  Please visit our district website for calendar details: https://www.fresnounified.org/calendars/ 

Regular School Day Daily Schedule: 

TK & Kindergarten 8:00 a.m. to 1:05 p.m.  

Grades 1st – 6th 8:00 a.m. to 2:05 p.m. 

Early Release School Day Daily Schedule: 

TK & Kindergarten 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Grades 1st – 6th 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

 

Parent conferences will be held during the week of October 26 through October 30, 2026. During conference week, we will follow our early release schedule each day. 

Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 7:55 a.m. and our after school program is available daily until 6:00 p.m.  Continue to check the transportation website for updates to bus routes: Bus Routes - Fresno Unified School District

Bienvenidos al año escolar 2026-27. Al comenzar juntos el nuevo curso el lunes 17 de agosto de 2026, el personal de la Escuela Primaria Addams espera trabajar con ustedes y con sus estudiantes. Nuestro personal de Addams cree firmemente que la educación de los niños es una colaboración entre el hogar y la escuela, y que el involucramiento de los padres es crucial para el éxito de nuestros alumnos. Por favor, marque el jueves 13 de agosto de 2026 la Noche de Regreso a la Escuela en Addams de las 4:00 p.m a las 5:30 p.m, donde conocerá a nuestro personal y recibirá información importante sobre el próximo curso escolar. 

La oficina de la Escuela Primaria Addams ampliará su horario el martes 11 de agosto de 2026 para la inscripción.  La oficina estará abierta hasta las 7:00 p.m.
